** This morning we went to mothers group & had a lovely time at the park...
** The temperature has soared back up to 35 degrees celcius!!...
** Appropriate for the second month in Autumn? Apparently so...
** It has been the driest year here on record and it has not rained in over 2 months now...
** Blue sky and sunshine is starting to feel a little like "ground hog day" - not that I'm complaining
In fact apparently if we don't get rain soon Perth could run out of water in 42 days = lucky there is rain forecast this week!! - Lets hope it actually comes this time...
** This morning I decided to be bold and go op-shopping (to the thrift store) to see if I could get some new shoes for Hannah's growing feet (bold because I don't make a habit of visiting those shops - I'm more of a brand sparkly new in a box girl)
** We were unsuccessful on the shoe front but I did find this truly delectable box...
** I knew right away that I must have it - but even more exciting was the treasure hiding within...
** ... the most beautiful teacup I'd ever laid eyes on - I think I may actually have drooled. Hello gorgeous come to mumma I thought!!...
** But in case you don't know already, I am not a "proper" adult and do not actually drink tea (or any other hot beverage for that matter)...
** So despite the love at first sight I decided to gift it to a new found good friend, because I new that she would use it (rather than just admire it) and truly appreciate it's magnificence for drinking tea....
** It was nice to give it to someone deserving and whom I appreciate greatly, despite it paining me to part with it. But I know it has gone to the best home, and even thought I toyed with the idea of gluing cup & saucer together and making a beautiful pin cushion, I think it would have been sacrilege to not keep it as a teacup...
** I did have to tell her to stop asking me if I was sure though - just in case I changed my mind!! ;) LOL....
** I also scored a Cinderalla book in perfect condition for 50 cents and an absolutely gorgeous floral dress for next summer for Hannah for $2.50. Maybe I should make more of an effort to shop there more often!!
** Today a parcel arrived containing about 12 different colours of textile vinyl...
** ... I guess that is my cue to start designing!!
** I have a deadline of Friday to make quite a large number of new products...
** Hmmm... nothing like a bit of pressure - lets hope I can come through in time!!
** Right - off to the shops to buy a few practise t-shirts...

I am sitting here sipping from my cup for the fifth time today...well christened me thinks...my daughter even oohed and aahed over it.
Isn't this weather crazy? At least you will get a reprieve from it when you head to NZ.
xx
ps...am super excited about next Friday :)
Ohhh I hope you have now realised the value of a good opp shop. I cannot walk past one without going inside, we get alot of my husbands work clothes for the farm there as it's expensive to buy 100% cotton shirts retail for them to get worn out in 3 months, also alot of the kids clothes for the farm too (and me when I come to think of it).
Plus all the other treasures you come across on the way. Nice find though.
