Sew Mama Sew Giveaway...

Yay it's Sew Mama Sew Giveaway time again... I love giveaway time - what a lot of fun, and a great way to find some more inspiring blogs :) (You can find the master giveaway lists here... here... and here...

If you are here for the first time then welcome!!

When pondering what to offer as my giveaway this year I was a bit stuck at first. But it didn't take me too long to get unstuck... I don't know about you, but I really struggle to find great fabrics for boys!!
Boys just seem to miss out a lot of the time!
However, in the last couple of weeks I have found a couple of great fabrics for boys and I thought I'd share a bit of the love...

So, up for grabs in my giveaway I have 4 generous sized fat quarters of the following boy prints:

I also have some scraps of Riley blake's All Star 2 range which I will include in the package for you, but don't have a picture of those sorry...

Entry is simple: Just leave me a comment.
- If you can recommend any other great boy fabrics available at the moment that would be much appreciated, but it's not compulsory.

Best of luck guys! :)

PS Thank you so much everyone who commented on yesterday's post. I really really appreciate it, and feel so much better just for getting it out there! Will endeavor to email you all my personal thanks soon, but in the meantime just know that I love & appreciate you guys!!!!!! xx

I'm digging that animal fabric. I don't think it's just boy fabric, though. I would make something for both my kids with it. Sorry, no tips on new boy stuff for you. Have you looked t the thrift store? I love going and finding HUGE articles of clothing that I can dissolve into usable cloth/yarn/etc.

Love the puppies in trucks! Did you see her cute little comment about how she had to put the pups in the backs of the trucks for cuteness reasons, but she doesn't advise it because of safety concerns? I thought that was so funny that she wanted to make sure everyone knew.

OOh YES PLEASE! ;) That's super cute fabric. I have to admit this is only about my 3rd visit to your blog since finding it last week. But, you're in luck because I've been searching out boy fabrics because we are expecting our 2nd Grandchild in September and we've found out it's a boy. Their first was a little girl. Anyway, I have kept a list of cute boy fabrics so I'll share what I have found since you asked:

Some on the list you'll need to click and then you can see the entire line of that.

Cute fabric! Wasn't there a big contest to design a collection of boy fabric recently? There were lots of cute ones. I think it was sponsored by spoonflower or Michael Miller.

Boy fabric is so difficult to find. I found some awesome boy knits at the way back of my local fabric store once in the clearance section. I wish I remembered the name of it. There were dinosaurs on one piece and sharks with beach stuff on another. I really should have grabbed more of it. My little guy is almost growing out of the t-shirt and shorts I made out of it and he's demanding some more awesomeness. Yikes! hehehe

Since I am post #119 (or so, depending on how long it takes me to type this list)I hope I am not giving you duplicate fabric ideas. Sorry if I am. As a mom of 3 boys though, I am always on the look out for boyish fabrics.

Urban Circus by Laurie Wisbrun (Robert Kaufman)
Max and Whiskers by Basic Grey (Moda)
Beetle Boy by Ellen Crimi-Trent (Clothworks)
Celebrate Seuss (Robert Kaufman)
Woodland Friends II by Ellen Crimi-Trent (Clothworks)
Animal Party Too! by Amy Schimler (Robert Kaufman)
Into the Woods by Sharyn Sowell (Clothworks)
Dino Dudes (Michael Miller)
Timeless Treasures has some cute dinosaur and bug fabrics, though their names escape me right now. And I know Michael Miller has a lot of "boyish" fabric - guitars, trucks, etc. Their site is great for browsing!

And 7 months isn't too bad... LOOK at how far you've come. I wish you lots of love, patience, and help as you make it through. Hugs!

I hope this isn't an Aussie-only giveaway, because those are some adorable fabrics!

I feel like boys (well, little boys at least) are starting to get a lot more attention in the fabric world, and it seems like lots of designers are good about releasing gender neutral kids' prints in boy and girl colorways (I'm thinking of Urban Circus and 2-D Zoo). If we're talking about older boys (or men), though, things get a lot trickier, and it's not nearly as easy to find suitable fabrics.

I love everything about this giveaway! I am due to have a little boy in July & going from already having a daughter to making things for a little boy I have noticed how limited my choices are! I love these prints! Sure hope I win! thanks so much! :-)

I have an 11 year old son who is getting a new bedroom set made out of Riley Blakes Extreme team. I plan to add orange and aqua and maybe some red solids to liven things up... Thanks for the chance to win!

These fabrics would be great to make some baby gifts with for a couple of my friends that are expecting little ones later this year!

Boy themed fabric - hurray! I'm working on a quilt for my niece who is expecting a wee boy this summer. It's harder than I thought to find fun boy fabric!

These are great! I usually pick up fabric at a discounted place, so not current lines :( Thanks for the giveaway!
