... One of those laid back days where you just plod along and getting dressed is optional. The plodding along part is pretty rare in our house... the other part, maybe not so much a rarity ;) - but still cherished none-the-less...
Today I really needed to catch up on my bee blocks for last month. It is not like me to be late with them! (Not surprising that I am this month - just not like me...) So this morning Hannah & I spent in our pjs, ironing and cutting all of the fabric for the blocks:

Hannah seemed to thoroughly enjoy "making a quilt for mummy". I gave her a little bag of scraps to play with and it kept her amused for ages "ironing" them and laying them out for her quilt. Only thing was she kept begging me to let her have the scissors so that she could cut them up into squares (that seemed to be the shape of the day). - not quite 3 year old with my rotary cutter?! - Ummmm.... let me think.... I don't think so!!!
Eventually miss cheeky chops junior woke up from her morning sleep & we had to take a brief intermission so that she didn't destroy anything or harm herself. She is mischief! (of the most loveable kind of course!):
This tongue-out look she is rocking is pretty much how she spends all her waking hours at the moment. -She cut her first tooth last week, so constantly has her tongue "guarding" it... her selection of tongue-out facial expressions keeps us very amused...
Anyway so this is the end result of my day sewing... funnily enough the girls in my 2 bees chose the identical block design this month, in nearly identical colours. I have to say that this definitely made my life easier when it came to choosing fabrics and cutting up a zillion different squares!!

| If it was up to miss Muffet in the corner there, these blocks would not be making it to Sarah! |
I must admit that it was nice to get back in front of the sewing machine again, it's been far too long!!
- Also very nice to get something off my to-do list. Girls if you are reading this then these will be in the mail tomorrow.

The bee blocks look beautiful! I love the photo of the little "ironing" helper!
They look amazing Kat. I have not sewn for ages either....we need another sewing night :)

They are gorgeous... I haven't sewn in so long, and really need to reaquaint myself with my machine again!
Love that pic of Hannah doing the ironing too - so typical of little girls wanting to be just like their mamas!
