Happy 1st Birthday Princess Abigail!! - Giveaway #5

Wow I can't believe you are 1 years old already my special girl! 

I am watching you blossom so quickly into your own little independent character! You are one determined girl, that is for sure! In fact I could learn a thing or two from you... you can get knocked back 1,2,3,4,5... 30,40,50,60... 100 times and you still get up and try again!! I can see that is a character trait that I am going to love to hate about you as time wears on lol... (it already has it's moments!) but right now it is so endearing!

Things about you right now that make you who you are...

**  You are SO active - you are just never still! Changing you or getting you dressed is a huge battle, which often leaves me holding you upside down by one leg in a bit of a predicament!! All because you do not like being held back. Taking a photo of you in focus in darn near impossible - because otherwise I end up with 100 photos of the back of your head as you run away from me (hence you are eating a biscuit in your 1 year old photo so I could get you more still!)

**  You LOVE your food. In fact the flood gates open every time you are hungry and boy if that happens does EVERYONE get to know about it! There is really not a lot you will not eat - as long as you can preferably feed it to yourself!

**  You are SUCH a happy girl (minus the hunger!) and such a delight to spend time with. Your smile and adorable little giggle is so infectious that it has been known to turn even the roughest burliest workmen into giggling gerties along with you.

**  You are completely crazy about your big sister... You wish to be just like her and the two of you have so much fun together! You definitely know how to pull your weight and pack a punch though. Boy are you going to give her a run for her money when you get a bit bigger - she really won't know what hit her because you are one feisty girl and she is used to being the one to rule the roost!!

** To say that you love animals is a bit of an understatement. You are fascinated by them. Unfortunately they do not usually share the same fascination for you!! Hopefully you will soon learn some boundaries around them.

**  You are a climber. Your current favourite game is climbing into our big open fireplace (decorative only) and making it your performance stage. I constantly have to be on guard because you make light work of stairs & will climb onto or up anything available. Soon I fear you will be able to climb onto my bench or table! Unfortunately though you have yet to discover how to safely get down off things!! As a result you always have a number of bruises on your head and I have an increasing number of grey hairs. Another thing I hope you will learn soon!

**  You are VERY cheeky! You know exactly what I'm saying & then choose to do the exact opposite - all while doing a very evil little giggle. What a monkey!

**  You do NOT like to nap. You never have because you just don't like to miss out on anything!! You still resist each.and.every.single.nap. But we at least we have now come to an understanding. I understand that you will cry, and you understand that I won't budge - that when it's nap time it's nap time! So now at least you do not protest for long. The only time I'm lenient is when we have guests. When we have guests getting you to settle is a lost cause - you just want to be included too much!

Things that I love about you & wish to savour...

**  Your smell. I wish I could bottle it!

**  Your softness. You are just so snuggly. I just love it when you lean your soft cheek against mine and nuzzle into me in the stillness! You really do give the best cuddles of anyone I know! 

**  Your adoration of me. It's so nice that you are so affectionate! I love it when I go to pick you up from creche & you run to me and fling your arms around me. I adore your right back!

**  Your playfulness. We have so much fun together playing silly. You have always loved to play silly!

**  Your sincerity. I know that sounds funny - you are only 1 after all. But you are such an earnest and expressive wee girl.

Abbie, you are such a delight and I am truly blessed to have you as a daughter!
