WIP Wednesday...

Well, considering that it's been 2 weeks since I posted, I haven't done that much towards my Work in Progresses (WIP)...
Lots of other sewing - yes!
Work on my lurkers... no!

But I'm not bothered. After my big push to get a couple of big lurkers finished last time I knew that I'd be focusing on other things for a while...

Anyway - here is the current state of play:

1. Colourful Wonky Log Cabin Blocks...
I am now renaming this "The Cheeky Quilt..." (If you are not sure why then read here...) So in many ways I have made great progress on this in the last 2 weeks. I have made 2 blocks towards it:

Cheeky quilt block 1
Tutorial for these here if you are interested...

And I already received my first contributions towards it today... 3 blocks from Kelly:

Blocks received from Kelly for "cheeky quilt"

Thank you so much Kelly!! (Kelly had me as a partner in the first round of Make Mine Modern Swap that I participated & she recently won a giveaway from my blog so it's pretty special to have these blocks donated by her because we've been blog friends a long time now!)

I have also seen photos of a couple of other blocks that people have made for me (which are all SO cool by the way) and have heard of some others that have been mailed, but I will post photos of those when they all arrive.

So good progress is happening on this project at least (thanks to my good old cheekiness "Kiwi ingenuity" ;) )

2. Scrappy Wonky House Blocks, Quilt for my lounge... & 4. Improv squares...
No progress on any of these. Although I did find a possible purpose for the Improv squares. I'll let you know about that in a few days once I've ironed out the details though.

This is kind of what I've been doing instead of my WIPs over the last 2 weeks:

Aug 2011

So I have been extremely busy sewing stuff despite the progress I've made on my long term lurkers.
At least I didn't start any more big projects!! (Yet ;) )

This week's stats:
New projects - 0
Completed projects - 0
Currently in progress -  4
Currently waiting to be started - endless!!!

And PS - my Spring Sewing & Quilting Class Schedule is now up!! If you are in Perth and interested in learning to sew/quilt then go to the Sewing & Quilting Class page at the top for more information. And don't forget to contact me to book in ASAP - there are only 3 places available per class...

Pop over to Lee's to see other WIPs...

Blocks are piling in for your cheeky quilt. Brilliant. I suppose that between me not doing a block until the girls are in school and living in the UK my contribution will be the one you are waiting on. Sorry! It is going to be a brilliant quilt though.

You do know that I will need all the time you have given to finish my block don't you :)
Will talk to you about your classes if I see you on Friday.

I'll try to get to your cheeky blocks as soon as the FD quilt is actually finished...I'm about halfway through the binding.
