I guess it's the anticipation or unknown of doing it that causes the stress for me -
What could potentially go wrong?...
What if I get sick or the kids get sick & we don't make deadline?...
What if the materials don't arrive in time?...
etc... etc....
I'm sure you get the idea!
Well I have had 2 of those huge jobs on in the background of my brain causing me stress this month. Well far more than 2 if I'm honest (ummm... shall I admit to being in too many swaps at one time? No, surely not ;) ) but 2 really huge big ones that are also very "worky" (read: not as fun as swaps!) on top of my already busy work & home schedule.
So that's why I've been seemingly uber productive recently. Because I just didn't want to leave everything to the last minute & have a nervous break down if it all went pear shaped or anything. Or with the anticipation of it all happening either for that matter.
I joke - but it could easily happen!
So I'm very happy to report that 1 of these big jobs came to an end today after a productive days
Don't worry child protection I don't very often ignore them! (They create too much noise & make it too hard to for a start ;) )
Another 30 t-shirts are sitting finished on my desk ready to be delivered to a friends house tomorrow ready for the conference next week. This is the final batch.
Phew!....
So that leaves 1 more big looming job to go.
- My tax.
Ewww!!!
But since it has to be at the accountant by 31st October at the absolute latest, I can no longer avoid it.
In which case guess what my week entails!
Oh joy.
But for now I'm going to forget about that one small minor detail and relish in the fact that one of those big jobs is finished. And enjoy having my feet up and drinking my beer I might add...

| Only thing we had to drink in the house, so I didn't have much choice of beverage! |
Job done = Bliss!
Yay me for pushing through and making myself get it done today so I can enjoy my week more....

I'm a mandated notifier of child ignoring and this post didn't make me want to rush off and make that call to child services.
It's the best feeling when you conquer a mountain and get something finished that's been a bit of a monkey on your back.
Lay in a supply of wine or something else you like to drink and celebrate without the beer next time ( like when you get that tax stuff sorted...thanks for the reminder too-mine needs to be done!)
Congratulations on getting the job done. You earned that beer!
It's hard - so much going on in your head vs. what physically has to be done. Sadly, I'm in the middle of that for the next few weeks. I feel for you, sister. Congrats and enjoy that beer!
Congrats on conquering that job, and enjoy the beer!
Way to go Kat! It is so nice to get those big things out of the way. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I do have a bottle of "ChocoVine" wine in the fridge & treated myself to a bit last night! lol Hope your beer was as good for you.... :D
Last month I was asked to take over as newsletter editor for my quilt guild...and said yes. I did it for almost 3 years, quite a while ago, so it wasn't a completely new thing. BUT, we didn't have an email edition then either! Of course, right in the middle of it was when my hard drive crashed, so that threw me off some, but I got it done in time & sent out last week - Phew! I have already started on the November one, just so I can get at least part of it out of the way....
