Wow it's been a while since I had this long an unscheduled break from blogging...! (I actually had something planned for everyday last week).
So I just thought I'd let you know that everything is fine & I've just been busy having a great week!!
I've been:
Catching up on things around the house & work such as....
** Tackling the foot-high weeds in my garden {thank goodness that's done!}
** Catching up on 600 loads of laundry
** Organising my swap & getting out partners (that just about did my head in if I'm honest - like a giant jigsaw puzzle that went round and round in circles and went nowhere - new found even greater respect for all my past swap mamas now!! Now I (think) I've finally cracked a system it shouldn't be so bad next time)
** Working and posting a zillion packages
** Spending hours trying to get my new computer working with all my work machines and getting my head around my husbands techno talk as we do it (seriously - he speaks another language sometimes and I just have to smile and nod! ;) )
As well as all the seriously fun stuff -
** Spending quality time with my beloveds.
** Having fun date nights with my hubby and laughing so hard at a silly Adam Sandler movie that I actually thought my sides were going to split! (There's a guilty secret for you - I can always get a laugh out of Adam Sandler - but that movie was more funny than most of them put together).
** Spending time with extended family
** Enjoying the warmer weather - yesterday it got to 30 degrees celcius woot woot - Summer is on it's way baby!!
And the highlight:
** Yesterday we took the children and my brother to the Perth Royal Show. It was FAB-U-LOUS and deserves a post all to itself!!
So I'll leave you with a photo that sums up how I feel today after arriving home from the show at 10.40pm with 2 tired children in tow (on the back of an extremely busy week!)...
Thank goodness it's 2 weeks of school holidays ahead now and I have a break from our busy term schedule to continue to get on top of things.
What a great week though!!! {Even if I do feel like a bit of a train wreck this morning.}
Hope you are all having just as nice a weekend!!

Was just thinking that you had been a bit quiet lately and was wondering if you were ok. Glad to hear that all is well.
I know exactly how you feel we have just had two weeks of school holidays and I feel like a train wreck! Back to school tomorrow and catch up on bookwork for me, and a nice quiet cuppa! Enjoy the holidays :-)
Sometimes a bit of a hiatus is just what is needed to get on top of everything else that requires our attention :)
I take my hat off to anyone organising swaps...I can imagine how much hard work goes into assigning partners etc.
Might see if any of our kiwi mama's wanna meet at the foreshore over the holidays..will be in touch.
x
I wish I could sleep like that, anywhere, anytime - when I was tired. Sounds like you have been very busy but having some really good times. Yeah!
Sounds like you're having a great time. Get out there and enjoy it...we'll wait :)
After reading your post, I feel like your gorgeous daughter looks! Well done on the swap partners...I imagine doing the matchups must be fairly nightmarish!
After all my grizzling about how stressful swaps can be and all my griping about my inadequate flickr skills I didn't even give a thought to how stressful this is for you! I'm so sorry .
You're doing a fantastic job at hosting and keeping the rabble in line.
Sounds like a crazy week but ultimately a very happy one!
Thanks Kat - you are a star - allocating partners not once but twice and then helping forgetful ones! Sounds like you've had a busy time!
Eeeeeww! I am missing the gardening gene myself. I do enjoy LOOKING at other people's gardens, but I will scrimp to pay someone to take care of mine! lol
Sounds like you were a busy girl - and tired too - love that picture!
