My Creative Space...

Shameless.... That's what I am today!
.... absolutely shameless!

Less than 24 hours after harping on that I was not going to start any more projects until I'd finished some of my long term WIPs & that they were my priority, blah blah blah, I've caved in big time...

Another day at home with sick kids meant the chance to sew, so I've started my latest project -

Quilts for my girls to match the cushion I made recently that Hannah & I both fell in love with...

So far today the strips have been cut:

Strips all cut

I've pieced 6 blocks...

First blocks
(no, I wasn't the one that did Hannah's hair or got her dressed in a tutu. That's all her!)

And filled up my scrap bucket with the prettiest scraps I've ever seen...

pretty scraps

So yes,  I'm completely shameless!
But it's so darn pretty who could resist?!
Heh heh heh...

That's not the final layout by the way. I actually don't have a plan. (Which is probably even more shameless!)
But I can tell you that it involves white borders of some sort around the blocks & some lace.
So I guess we'll just have to see what eventuates. Totally making it up as I go along.
Those are the most fun kinds of projects if you ask me!

What's going on in your creative space today?

Ah! When I see such prettiness I remember why I wished I had had a little girl! The new quilt is going to be beautiful! I can see why you couldn't resist cutting into that fabric!

ooh, that is going to be so pretty once it's complete :)
those scraps would be cool to decorate baubles with for your tree.

Ooh, so scrummy looking and pretty in pink!
Love Hannah's style :)
Hope the girls are on the mend. We did venture to playgroup today and Sarah pulled her usual trick of sleeping all morning so it was nice to have a break :)

Lovely work! I also want to see how the quilt comes along. I never thought of basting and quilting block by block. It's a genius idea! I'm also your newest follower!

I have shamelessly not got on with any of the things I was meaning to do today ...But have re-started an old project!

Who could resist a cute wee girl holding a cushion in a tutu and hairdo when she wants a quilt!? Only someone with a heart of stone!
