Tuesday Tidbits...

**  Firstly thank you to everybody who has offered me good well wishes for this horrible bug that I'm fighting! I am still feeling rather crummy I have to admit but at least I'm no longer bed ridden!

**  It is quite obvious to my family that I'm starting to feel a bit better, because my messy, dirty house had finally got on top of me & I decided to remedy the situation. So I adorned my "Supermum cape" and by 9.30am had orchestrated the girls to help tidy up all their toys, vacuumed, mopped, bought in and put away 2 loads of washing and changed the sheets on my bed.

**  Admittedly I did have "help"...

**  She actually asked me to stop trying to help can you believe. I felt like recording it because something tells me that this phase won't last for long!! (we got a new mop & the bucket has a spinner thing which is kind of fun for her)...

**  After that I decided that was enough housework & went and sewed during Abbie's nap.

**  It was a "successful" session of sewing in that I got my project finished, but very emotionally draining because of what I was actually sewing and for whom.

**  Long story for another day - but for now I will just show you the "ingredients"...

**  The rest will have to wait until it is received so I can share the finished pics.

**  After such a productive day I was then far too tired (or lazy, you choose) to cook so we had McDonald's for dinner. Supermum cape obviously was neatly packed away in the back of the wardrobe by this stage in the day!

**  Summer has arrived with a bang here in Western Australia.

**  For the past 2 days we've had temperatures of 30 degrees celcius & it's supposed to be warmer tomorrow. I'm already finding it hot so I don't know how I'm going to cope when it goes up another 10 degrees! I guess I'll be grateful we have air-con!!

**  We had to officially pull the shutters down for the summer this weekend which has seemed to have 2 added bonuses: the girls are so far sleeping past 5 am in the morning (the time the sun comes up) - Bonus! And we have more privacy. Another bonus!

**  Not much of a view though - They are 70's green & yellow striped shutters. Very retro!
But at least they do their job & shut out some of the heat.

Not so exciting this Tuesday I'm afraid. But that's this Tuesday's life in a nutshell...

oh and PS - anybody else wondering after yesterday's table runner post how come I'm mad enough to have crisp white dining chairs with 2 toddlers in the house, might like to read this post for the full explanation of them...
Classy looking vinyl aren't they! ;)

Sorry to hear you aren't well. I'm struggling too. Can you send your little one round with the mop and bucket to do my floors. I promise I won't try and help her ;-)

Sorry the ick still hasn't departed, but a little child labour looks like a great idea, can I borrow her after Jan please? :oD

While it would be nice to import your helper here, she would probably be kidnapped by the dust rhinos that live here....

Hope you are feeling better soonest - healing thoughts on their way to you.

Does Hannah do ironing? Im happy to pay a fair wage for her work.

I copped out and got Chinese on the way home from work last night . It must have been something in the air!

Keep her cleaning. Maybe you can succeed with cleaning the way I did with cooking. Because I failed badly with my two and tidiness! Hope you are feeling that much better again when you read this!

When Shay has finished with Hannah you can send her here.
Oh good I'm not the only one who has failed with having tidy children, thanks Susan.
Hope you are feeling better now.
