Oh it feels good to be back sewing & quilting in a relaxed fashion this week!
Life has been too manic for too long & I'm really enjoying sewing some personal projects and catching up on my "other" to-do list (do those things ever go away? ;) ).
For example - I just had a new little niece born over the weekend to my brother & sister-in-law. It was a surprise whether they were having a boy or girl, so I decided to wait until the baby was born to make anything for it. Now that I know she's a girl I'm happily putting together a box of cute things to send over for her at the end of the week.
Eeek I'm so excited to have a niece!!! - Baby A is the first niece/nephew on my side of the family and also my very first niece in total. We have 3 nephews on Neil's side, so I am very pleased to be able to make something fun & girly for a change. I find boys are so hard to sew for... I guess that's because I have 2 girls and they're what I know.
Photos to come of those projects.
So why the title something for the boys? Well I have *shock horror!* actually been sewing boy stuff this week for a change too.
This cute 2 piece set is hot off the sewing machine this afternoon...
I'm quite pleased with how it turned out actually. It has already been picked up by the client & she seemed happy too.
Loving that Laurie Wishrun "Pooches & pickups" line too.
Perhaps there is more boys stuff in my future, but we'll see. Lets not get too carried away now ;)

These look great Kat but I was always looking for bright colours for boys as they always seem to get khaki, navy and brown - which is great for hiding the dirt but I did like orange, lime green and red to brighten my little boy's wardrobe up!
I'm sure I am not alone!
Congratulations on your niece Aunty... x
Auntie Kat! Woohoo! Hope your SIL enjoys motherhood. ;-)
Cool boy togs!
Have fun playing Auntie x
Congrats Auntie Kat!
That pooches and pickups line is perfect for boy clothes
They are so cute! loving the fabric! =D
Those pants are the bees knees and definitely something I would put on Kaizer :)
Nice work Kat.
