Just a very brief note (as I try not to fall asleep before I finish writing this) to say that Abs and I are in London safely.
We've had a wonderful time visiting family for the last 10 days- more news and plenty of photos on that once we're home.
Today Abbie had her first ride on the tube, which is somewhere I never thought I'd take here at this age! We rode into town and had a brief look around Regent St shopping before buying some spoils for the kids at Hamleys toy store.
Tonight I have just got back from drinks & a spot of fabric shopping with some of the other retreaters. I'd name them but I'm sure to accidentally miss someone and I don't want that... Everyone seems to recognize me and say I look like my photo. Failing that I'm sure the accent is a dead giveaway too.
There's free WiFi at our hotel YIPPEE so I'm finally back online a bit. Hopefully I can update again briefly tomorrow.
Hope you are all well! I'm missing you all and really feel out of the loop.
